When you register and use TalentBlender, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Profile information (profession, skills, hourly rate, bio, location, portfolio URL)
• Profile photo (if uploaded)
• Messages sent through the platform
• Last seen timestamp

If you submit a note on Brainboard, we also collect your name, email address, and the content of your submission.

2. How We Use It

We use your data to:

• Display your profile to other users for talent discovery
• Power AI-assisted team matching (The Blender)
• Send transactional emails (password reset, notifications)
• Improve the platform

We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Brainboard Submissions

Brainboard is TalentBlender's public ideas exchange. Submissions are used to:

• Display your note publicly on the Brainboard (name shown, email never shown)
• Inform platform development and market research
• Train and improve AI-powered features on the platform — submissions may be analysed by AI to identify patterns, group ideas, and surface insights

Your email is collected for moderation and follow-up purposes only and is never shown publicly. To request removal of a Brainboard submission, contact us at hello@talentblender.com.

4. Who We Share It With

Your profile information is visible to other registered users. Your email address is never publicly displayed. We use Zoho Mail to send transactional emails.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed from the platform within 30 days.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are based in the UK or EU, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten)
• Object to processing of your data

To exercise these rights, delete your account from your profile settings or contact us directly.

7. Cookies

TalentBlender uses a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Security

Passwords are stored as hashed values — we never store plain-text passwords. The platform uses HTTPS in production.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. We will notify users of significant changes.
